You're not a regular long-distance cyclist but hot diggity damn you're up for the challenge. You're going to go on at least a few 40-80km cycles before the ride. 

​Terrain: Mostly undulating with a few sharp climbs about 1km long.

You ride your bike (or do some other exercise) on a regular basis either for fitness, to commute, or just for fun. You have a pretty active life and want a physical challenge.

​Terrain: None fall into this category this year. So n/a!

Fitness comes and goes for you, but you're planning to get in good shape for the trip. You ride your bike regularly anyway and you'll go on at least a few 100-120km rides before the trip. 

​Terrain: Each week with this rating has distinct challenges. Read the detailed info for each leg to find out more.

You're fit and you ride your bike regularly outside of this adventure.  You'll go on a few 100-140km rides before the trip. 

​Terrain: All terrain, with hills averaging 3-4km, but up to 10km in length. Around 120km per day but could do longer.

You ride your bike and exercise a lot. You are planning on getting in plenty of 100-160km training rides before the trip. You're super chilled that 1000m climbs are the warm up because you love a challenge and saddle sores mean nothing to you. 

​Terrain: Anything. High mountains, steep climbs & long distances
