I recognise and acknowledge that participating in this cycle/event is a potentially dangerous activity and I elect voluntarily to do this and assume all risks of loss, damages, injury or death that may be sustained.
Save in the event of any negligent act or omission on the part of the person or entity concerned, none of the organisers shall be liable to any cyclist for death or personal injury, damage to property or other loss or damage of any nature whatsoever suffered by any cyclist whether arising from participation in the event or otherwise.
I will ensure that I obtain all insurance required for participation in this event.
I understand what Thighs of Steel is all about and hereby declare I am made of the right sort of stuff to be a Steely Thighed Cyclist.

Covid-19 and the Spell It Out World Record Relay (Supported) Tour
The Spell It Out World Record Relay supported tour will be carried out according to the government’s Covid guidelines for sporting events, last updated May 17th 2021. These guidelines will be reviewed on July 19th.
This means that Covid safety measures are considered for all trips with us and will be subject to and adaptable to the most up to date government guidance. This will reduce but not eliminate risk. Please be aware that this is a group activity and by nature will come with certain risks of either passing on or contracting Covid-19.

Spell It Out World Record Relay Covid Cancellation Policy
If we have to postpone a trip due to government restrictions, all cyclists will be provided with the following options:
If you have to postpone due to having Covid or being required to quarantine, we’ll do our best to transfer your place to a future trip.
Your commitment to us and the other Thighs fam:

- We will cycle in a group of no more than 6
- We will not exceed the maximum group size (currently 30 people outside)
- Accommodation and meals will be planned to allow for current social distancing guidelines. Despite these measures, the nature of camping will mean there is less access to sanitation than your life at home. We will do our best to provide sanitation facilities and processes, but we cannot promise these measures will be perfect
- Additional hygiene measures will be in place during the tours to mitigate risk of cross contamination
Spell It Out World Record Relay Covid Cancellation Policy
If we have to postpone a trip due to government restrictions, all cyclists will be provided with the following options:
- Transfer your money onto a future reorganised trip
- Get vouchers to spend on any of our future trips
- Receive a 100% refund
If you have to postpone due to having Covid or being required to quarantine, we’ll do our best to transfer your place to a future trip.
Your commitment to us and the other Thighs fam:
- I will comply with current regional and national guidelines around Covid safety
- I will respect other people’s boundaries around social distancing and hygiene measures
- I agree to tell the Thighs team if I develop symptoms and/or test positive for Covid during or within 48 hours of the ride so that they can anonymously inform the rest of the team.

Travel insurance
Believe it or not, cycling is actually pretty dangerous. Lots of bad things can happen. Some of these bad things can be expensive. To prevent these bad things from flinging you into a paupers' jail for the rest of your life, we recommend that you have decent insurance. The key things to insure are you, your health and your bike. If you're spending big money on hotels and travel, you could also insure against cancellation of the trip for any reason.
Health & Safety
Spell It Out Choose Your Letter is an unsupported tour (we won't be there with you) and you are responsible for your own health and safety. If any part of the route looks unsafe, please use your common sense and do not cycle it! Thighs of Steel will not be held responsible for any injury or loss of life during the Spell It Out event.
